Turbo Tots and Mighty Mites will give your child a great start to this lifetime sport by engaging motor skills, ball skills, and concepts of small sided games. Sessions are led by Rush Coaching staff and our older players in the club and last for 45 minutes. The emphasis is very firmly on FUN! We feel that kids will be more comfortable and develop faster in this type of environment.

Nevada Rush Junior Academy allows players to develop at an accelerated pace. These programs are designed to bridge individual player development and basic team aspects to prepare players for a smooth and fluid transition into our Competitive Girls and Boys programs. Here at Nevada Rush, we believe that the pathway to successful athletes and exceptional character building begins here in our Junior Academy. This program sets the tone for the future of the club. Our staff works very hard to provide the best training and experience in the state of Nevada.

The Nevada Rush Competitive division is for the player who is ready to take their development in this sport to the next level. Led by a highly experienced, professional coaching staff, your player will experience an increased volume of soccer in a focused, goal-oriented, competitive environment. Our competitive teams train regularly to further develop their technical skills and tactical understanding of the game.

The Turbo Tots and Mighty Mites program is designed as an introduction to basic soccer skills for 3, 4, and 5 year-old boys and girls who wish to participate. Players have the opportunity to play fun activities and games together in a group environment, developing balance, coordination, kinetic awareness, and a love for the game. Turbo Tots and Mighty Mites sets a very basic foundation for playing the sport of soccer.

Sessions are led by Rush Coaching staff and our older players in the club and last for 45 minutes. The emphasis is firmly on FUN! We feel that kids will be more comfortable and develop faster in this type of environment.  Turbo Tots and Mighty Mites will have one training session each week for 10 weeks.

Junior academy

Nevada Rush would like to share the love of the game with your child. Each session will be an exciting play-based journey based on skills, coordination and passion for the game. Players will be active and engaged while gaining confidence and excitement about the game.

Players will benefit by learning the fundamentals of the game in a safe and fun environment. Your child will receive soccer specific training created for young players to develop the basic skills of soccer. Technical skills will be based on dribbling, receiving, passing shooting and more dribbling!

Nevada Rush Junior Academy allows players to develop at an accelerated pace. These programs are designed to bridge individual player development and basic team aspects to prepare players for a smooth and fluid transition into our Youth Girls and Youth Boys programs at U11. Junior Academy players (U7 - U10) are placed on teams at our seasonal Kickarounds, based upon current and potential skill level. Within Nevada Rush, teams are tiered in Select Blue, Select White, Academy Blue, and Academy White based on overall team ability. Our quality, and experienced coaches bring energy, and passion to every session.

The Junior Academy mirrors the Senior program with the core being focused around Rush's Core Values, and World Renowned Philosophy. Within the program you will learn the 11 core values, like respect, unity, enjoyment, tenacity, and passion. These core values are the base in which all Rush players will grow. In addition we have program wide curriculum centered around Individual creativity/technique, discipline, and game understanding .

These program set the tone for the future of the club, and Nevada soccer. Our Staff works very hard to provide the best training and experience in the state of Nevada. COMPETITIVE LEAGUE

The Nevada Rush Competitive division is for the player who is ready to take their development in this sport to the next level. Our competitive teams train regularly to further develop their technical skills and tactical understanding of the Rush style of play.

When can I join?

Any player who is interested in joining the Nevada Rush Competitive division can do so at anytime. If you are currently playing with another club you you will need to get a release signed via the player action form found on the Nevada State Association website or wait until tryouts. Any player who is not registered to a club may be invited to train with a Nevada Rush team in their respective age group to determine the best developmental placement for them. Please contact the Nevada Rush office (702)-271-7701 and they will connect you with the appropriate DOC to help begin this process.

 PLAYER PLACEMENT PROCESS


Player Evaluation
Every year in late May and early June, soccer clubs conduct their annual tryouts to place players on a team based on their abilities. Those tryouts take lots of man hours to look at hundreds of players in a short period of time. While majority of the players receive a phone call and are placed appropriately, many fall through the cracks, some cannot attend these tryouts, and many are too nervous to show their true ability.


When we look at the athletes, we measure their technical and tactical abilities along with their physical and psychological attributes. A tryout period does not allow us to fully rate players accurately. For these reasons, players will be observed throughout the entire year by their team Head Coach and Director of Coaching at training sessions and games. They will then be consequently placed more accurately within the Nevada Rush system. Evaluations will be based on the previously mentioned components in addition to attendance, attitude, team chemistry, and consistency, to name a few.


Tryout Information


The Head Coach will select his/her team with the assistance of the Directors of Coaching of Nevada Rush. Tryouts for all U11 players and players outside the club will take place during late May/June. Due to the evaluation process, tryouts are not required for currently registered U12 and older Competitive Nevada Rush players during tryout week. However, Nevada Rush players are encouraged to attend tryouts, as it is the final step in the evaluation process. Upcoming tryout dates will posted when released by the Nevada State Soccer Association.

 Player Movement


During any other time of the year, a Nevada Rush player may be asked to transfer, or may request a transfer to another Nevada Rush team. Nevada Rush will transfer this player, only in certain circumstances such as injuries, player/coach conflicts, consideration to the implications of the entire age group, ability level, etc. Head Coaches must communicate to their respective DOC to approve any player movement within the club. This process will always be done with the player in mind first and what is best for their development.
